Human Wrongs, Literature and Art of Protest
May 21 - July 3, 2003

The exhibition explores expressions of protest against political and social ills from Tom Paine and Voltaire to Albert Camus, Vaclav Hável, Joan Didion, and Susan Sontag. Works by Claes Oldenburg, Ray Johnson, James Rosenquist, Hans Haacke, Adrian Piper and Zoe Leonard among others are on view, and span a period of over 30 years, from 1968 to the present and in reaction to our current political situation.
